Police closed off College Avenue in Harrow Weald yesterday evening after a collision involving two vehicles.
Local residents contacted Harrow Online querying why the road had been closed for three hours.
One member of the Harrow Online Group said: “An incident has happened on College Hill Road just past Park Crescent, HA3. Police have blocked off the road with their car and an ambulance has been and gone.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called yesterday (2 June) at 4:37pm to reports of a road traffic collision on College Avenue, Harrow.
“We sent two ambulance crews and a medic in a fast-response car to the scene.
“We treated a person at the scene and took them to hospital.”
The police were present at the scene for a lengthy time to clear the road following a car ploughing into a stationary vehicle.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were called at 16:43hrs on Friday, 2 June to College Avenue, Harrow, after a car collided with a stationary car.
“No reports of any serious injuries. No arrests.”
