North Harrow incident: Man stabbed to death

Breaking News: Police Incident causes closure of Pinner Road, North Harrow

A fatal stabbing has occurred on Pinner Road, North Harrow, this morning causing a complete closure of the road in both directions.

Police have confirmed that a man, believed to be aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Multiple members of Harrow Online Group reported the stabbing which has now sadly been confirmed by Met Police.

Multiple police vehicles are at the junction of Pinner Road and there has been a forensic tent set up outside North Harrow library.

In addition to Pinner Road, many side road including Westmorland Road and Gloucester Road have also been cordoned off by police.

Statement from London Ambulance Service

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.24am today (8 July) to reports of an incident in Pinner Road, North Harrow.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and a clinical team manager. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Due to the road closure, commuters and residents utilising bus routes 183, H18, and H19 are advised to seek alternative options until further notice.

Police statement on North Harrow stabbing

A spokesperson for Met Police told Harrow Online: “Police were called at approximately 06:25hrs on Saturday, 8 July to reports of a man stabbed in Pinner Road, North Harrow.

“Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance all attended the scene.

“Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man – believed aged in his 40s – was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A crime scene remains in place.

“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
