In a series of incidents last weekend, South Harrow and Rayners Lane experienced a surge in burglaries on Friday, July 7th, with three reported cases across three different wards.
PCSO Louise Nicholson, a Watch Liaison Officer in Harrow, issued a public warning via the OWL network urging residents to remain vigilant and shared crime prevention advice to combat this growing concern.
The first burglary took place on Alexandra Avenue, in close proximity to Alexandra Close. Although the specific address has been withheld for data protection reasons, the incident occurred during the evening hours between 10:00pm and 10:30pm.
Similarly, another attempted burglary was reported on Kings Road, near the junction with Drake Road.
Lastly, an attempted burglary unfolded on Eastcote Lane, close to the junction of Alexandra Avenue. This incident transpired within the timeframe of 10:00pm to 10:30pm.
Eyewitnesses at two of the locations observed three unidentified males hastily fleeing the scene, heading toward a vehicle which has since been identified as bearing cloned number plates.
PCSO Louise Nicholson stressed the importance of heightened vigilance in light of these incidents. She urged residents to be cautious and take necessary precautions to protect their homes and belongings.
