Wembley Stadium is gearing up to host West London’s biggest jobs fair this month, providing job seekers with a wealth of exciting employment prospects and apprenticeships.
Building upon the success of last year’s sold-out event, Brent Council is bringing back the highly anticipated jobs fair, with support from prominent organisations like The Forge, The Football Association (FA), and Countryside Partnerships.
Over 200 companies, ranging from local businesses like the London Designer Outlet to global brands like Amazon and BOXPARK, are set to participate in the event, showcasing their current vacancies. The fair offers a unique opportunity for job seekers to engage with employers across various sectors such as technology, travel, hospitality, health, retail, and construction. Attendees can directly apply for roles and meet employers face-to-face, creating an interactive and dynamic job-seeking environment.
Brent Works, the council’s employment service, along with their partners, will be present at the event, providing one-on-one personalized career advice to attendees. In addition, a series of inspiring development workshops will run throughout the day, offering valuable insights and guidance to job seekers.
Councillor Shama Tatler, Cabinet Member for Planning, Regeneration, and Growth at Brent Council, expressed her excitement about the event, saying, “We have a brilliant line-up of businesses taking part this year with exciting opportunities on offer at every level. From apprenticeships to management positions, there’s something for everyone.”
Councillor Tatler highlighted the importance of the jobs fair in addressing the economic challenges faced by residents in Brent, stating, “In Brent, we have one of the lowest average household incomes in the capital, with earnings 16% below the London average. The cost-of-living crisis is continuing to hit our low-paid workers the hardest, and we are committed to supporting our residents in every way we can to find good quality, secure work.”
With last year’s event selling out quickly, jobseekers are encouraged to secure their free tickets as soon as possible to avoid missing out on this valuable opportunity. The Wembley Jobs Fair is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 19, from 10 am to 3 pm at Wembley Stadium. Interested individuals can book their free tickets through Eventbrite.
The fair promises to be a pivotal moment for jobseekers in West London, providing them with direct access to a wide range of career options and valuable resources to navigate the job market successfully. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this transformative event.
