Two males were arrested in Wembley this afternoon on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
One of the police officers who attended was injured during the course of the arrest, police confirmed.
A spokesperson for Met Police said in a statement, “Police were called to Oldborough Road, Wembley shortly before 15.00hrs on Sunday, 16 July to reports of a burglary.
“Officers attended. A search of the area was carried out and two males were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
“One of the males was also arrested on suspicion of assault on an emergency worker as a police officer was injured in the course of the arrests.
“They have been taken into custody. Enquiries continue.”
