A zombie knife was uncovered in Roxeth Recreation Ground, South Harrow, this morning by a concerned member of the public.
Immediately recognising the severity of the situation, the individual reported the finding to the police, allowing for swift action to be taken.
Within minutes of receiving the report, Officers from Roxeth Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) rushed to the scene to secure the weapon. The knife, a dangerous and prohibited item, will now undergo proper disposal to ensure it can never pose a threat to the community.
Roxeth Police took to social media, tweeting, “This knife was found in Roxeth Recreation Ground today… glad it’s going to be destroyed by us! #knifefree.”
Their prompt response and dedication to removing dangerous weapons from the streets have been commended by residents.
