Tonight, the Commissioner’s ‘New Met for London’ plan will be launched at Harrow School from 6:00 to 8:30pm.
Superintendent Matt Cray, Lead for Neighborhood Policing Teams in Harrow expressed the importance of engaging with all communities to rebuild trust and improve policing. He said, “I know there is always more the police can do and we need to engage better with all communities to rebuild trust. So I am really keen to hear people’s views this evening on what they think of our plans and to tell us if we are prioritising our resources where communities need them.
“It is also a great opportunity for individuals to meet their local teams and find out what they are doing to keep people safe and fight crime in the area.”
The event aims to provide insight into the impact of the plan on policing and community safety in the London borough of Harrow. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet their local police teams and learn about their efforts to ensure public safety and combat crime in the area.
For those arriving by car, a free car park is available on Garlands Lane, HA1 3GF, which is a short 7-minute walk from the War Memorial Building where the event will take place. The venue has step-only access, but arrangements can be made for wheelchair access if notified in advance.
The meeting is open to the general public, making it an essential platform for residents to voice their opinions and actively participate in shaping the future of policing in London.
