Man wanted by police after failing to appear at Harrow Crown Court

A manhunt is underway for Kolawole Oladetoun who failed to appear at Harrow Crown Court this week.

In his absence he was found guilty on 27 July at Harrow of six sexual offences and a warrant has now been issued for his arrest.

Oladetoun is wanted for multiple incidents of sexual offences on London trains. The disturbing acts occurred between October 2020 and August 2021, involving him exposing himself and masturbating in front of unsuspecting women.

On one occasion in August 2021, he sexually assaulted a woman at Hounslow Underground station before boarding a Piccadilly Line train. The brave victim reported the incident, leading to his arrest at Hammersmith station less than thirty minutes later.

Detective Sergeant Brittany Armstrong described Oladetoun as a clear danger to women and girls, urging the public to come forward with any information regarding his whereabouts. Authorities believe he may have ties to Stafford and Lincolnshire and is known to stay in temporary accommodations, including hostels and Airbnb properties.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the authorities via text at 61016, quoting reference number 284 of 28/07/23.

In case of sighting, it is crucial not to approach him but instead call 999, mentioning the same reference number.
