Watford double-stabbing: Police cordon spotted near train station

A significant police presence, including multiple police cars and a police cordon, has been reported on Bridle Path, just off Station Road, Watford, situated near to Watford Junction train station.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were swiftly dispatched to nearby Cassiobury Park in response to the incident in which two men have suffered stab injuries.

A spokesperson for East of England Ambulance Service said: “One ambulance, one ambulance officer vehicle and the MAGPAS Air Ambulance were called to Watford town centre yesterday following reports of a stabbing incident. A teenage male with a serious injury was transported to hospital by road ambulance.”

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police said: “Police were called at around 6.45pm on Wednesday 2 August following an incident near Watford Junction railway station.

“Two people were discovered with injuries, believed to be stab wounds and were taken to hospital for treatment. A third man also presented at hospital a short time later with an injury to his hand.

“One of the men has since been discharged from hospital and the other two remain in a serious but stable condition at this time.

“A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in police custody.

“It is believed the people involved are known to each other and enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the circumstances around the incident.”
