The much-anticipated Kids’ Summer Fun Fair returns to Canons Park in Edgware tomorrow (Sunday, August 6th).
Families can look forward to a day filled with exciting activities and entertainment, and the weather looks like it’s going to be much better than it is today!
The event, which runs from 11am to 6pm, is open to all and offers free entrance. Visitors can enjoy various fairground rides and stalls, along with bouncy castles for the kids (charges apply).
For the canine companions, there will be a ‘Fun’ Dog Contest sponsored by Mandeville Veterinary Services, Edgware. Dog owners can enter their pets for a chance to win prizes in different categories.
Kids will have plenty of free activities to enjoy, such as face painting, glitter art, hair braiding, and a Lego prize contest. For those interested, The Shaw Trust Charity Plant Sale will be next to the Good Friends Café.
Live music by Katie plus Juan, sponsored by NLCS and Arnold House School, will keep the atmosphere vibrant from 12:15pm to 4:45pm. There will be a Kids’ Art Activity Desk, Tai Chi and Yoga sessions, guided tours of the nearby St. Lawrence Church, and nature-related activities at the RSPB and Ecology Discovery stalls.
Mango Pharmacy, Edgware, will also be on hand offering free, confidential, automated health checks with the Adventure Playground and Green Gym will provide additional entertainment.
RDG Events Mobile Units will be present, offering hot and cold drinks, savories, and teatime goodies throughout the day.
The event’s proceeds will contribute to Friends’ projects aimed at improving Canons Park.
