Police launch murder investigation in Hillingdon after man found dead

Met Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at a house in Hillingdon.

A statement on the Met’s website said: “Police were called at 11:00hrs on Saturday, 12 August after a man was found unresponsive at a multi-occupancy house on Nine Acres Close in Hayes.

“Officers attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. The 40-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“He has been named as Krzysztof Baran. His family has been informed and are being supported by officers.

”A post-mortem examination carried out on Sunday, 13 August gave cause of death as a stab wound.

”An investigation is under way led by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

“A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a west London police station.”

Detective Chief Inspector Sal Minhas, who is leading the investigation, said: “My thoughts are with the family of the man who has died and we will do all we can to support them as our investigation progresses.

“We have a man in custody and he is being questioned by detectives. Based on our initial enquiries, we believe this was an isolated incident and there is nothing to suggest there being any wider risk to the community.

“However, I would urge anyone with concerns to please contact local officers.”
