Special charity event to be held in Harrow Town Centre

Harrow Town Centre is gearing up for an exciting family event this Saturday – ‘ONE GREAT DAY’ – dedicated to supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Hosted by the Harrow BID Team (We Are Harrow) in conjunction with St George’s Shopping Centre, the event will provide a a fun opportunity for residents to contribute to a noble cause.

Great Ormond Street Hospital has been a lifeline for countless children and families, providing specialised medical care and hope during difficult times. The ‘ONE GREAT DAY’ event is an initiative to raise funds and awareness for the hospital’s invaluable work.

On the day, Harrow Town Centre will offer various ways for attendees to get involved and give back. From the classic funfair rides on St Anns Road to the ever-popular Hook-a-duck game, the event promises a mix of amusement and challenge.

Profits from these activities will be directed towards GOSH, allowing everyone to have fun while making a meaningful contribution.

Event-goers will have the chance to make a difference by donating to the cause. In return for their support, they’ll be treated to complimentary lollipops and balloons, a small gesture of gratitude for their generosity.

One of the highlights of the event is the talented balloon modeller stationed at St George’s Shopping Centre. While the balloon creations are free of charge, attendees are encouraged to donate to help fund GOSH’s vital endeavours.

Art enthusiasts can embrace their creative side with face painting on St Anns Road. With a minimum donation of £2, all proceeds from this activity will directly benefit GOSH.

Punch & Judy Shows will provide laughter and entertainment at the pop-up park opposite Metro Bank on St Anns Road. While the shows are free, again, any donations are welcomed.

‘ONE GREAT DAY’ will take place on August 19th, with all activities centred around St Anns Road in Harrow. This event serves as a testament to the community’s dedication to supporting children and families in need.
