Woman threatened in attempted knife-point robbery at North Harrow car park

A woman was threatened at knife point in an attempted robbery at a car park in North Harrow yesterday evening.

The incident happened at around 7:30pm in Cambridge Road Car Park, round the back of the shops and just off Pinner Road in North Harrow.

Members of Harrow Online Group on Facebook commented on the incident wondering why so many police officers were in the area.

One person said: “Loads of sirens in North Harrow in the last 20 min. Hope it’s nothing too serious. Anyone know what happened?.”

The woman reported having a knife held to her stomach as the robbers attempted to steal her car.

A spokesperson for Met Police told Harrow Online: “Police were called at about 19:28hs on Tuesday, 29 August to Northumberland Road, Harrow following reports of an attempted robbery at the location.

“Officers attended the location and spoke to a woman who reported she had been threatened with a knife.

“Nothing is believed to have been taken and no injuries were reported to police.

“Two men were arrested nearby on suspicion of robbery.”
