Three burglaries reported in South Harrow

A recent spate of burglaries has been reported in South Harrow this week, according to a post on the OWL website.

In the past week, three separate break-ins have occurred, prompting local police to offer safety guidance to residents in the South Harrow area.

Holyrood Avenue: On Wednesday, August 30th, between 2:00pm and 9:00pm, thieves targeted a property on Holyrood Avenue. They made off with a Grey Mercedes C200 from the driveway.

Corbins Lane: The following day, Thursday, August 31st, between 5:00pm and 10:00pm, a property on Corbins Lane was breached.

Intruders entered through the front door without any signs of forced entry, ransacking the premises and stealing cash, passports, and jewellery.

Police noted that the front UPVC door had not been properly locked, highlighting the importance of proper locking procedures.

Ivy Close: On the same evening, between 9:40pm and 10:00pm, Ivy Close witnessed a break-in attempt. Three suspects, concealing their faces, forcefully removed the panelling from a UPVC door to gain entry. Fortunately, they left empty-handed after searching the property.

Local police, including PCSO Lisa Saunders, urges residents to take immediate precautions to protect their homes and belongings.

They recommend reviewing the crime prevention advice provided by the Met Police, available here.
