This incident has left residents in shock and raised concerns about community safety, there have now been at least seven knife crime related incidents in Harrow since the start of the year.

Neil Sullivan posted via the Harrow Online Facebook page, “Back in the 80s when I was growing up, the whole of the HA postcode area was a sought-after place and pleasant to live! Terrible what has happened over the years.”

Lina Saphora described the scene, “I’ve just gone past, and there’s a tent clearly protecting a body, a knife in someone’s driveway, and loads of police. It was sad driving past, knowing that someone’s child was laid on the ground, and his life has ended.”

Jason P called for increased police presence, saying, “I wish these incidents would stop happening; there needs to be more police on the streets, a visual deterrent to these crimes. So sad hearing about this, near to where I grew up too.”

Joanne Peterson stated, “Sadly, the person died, and no one is allowed to come in or out of Masefield Avenue, possibly until tomorrow.”
