Police cordon spotted outside Edgware station

Edgware Station was cordoned off today (September 10) due to a stabbing that happened at around 7:30am.

Multiple images circulating on social media show a number of police officers at the scene with police tape outside the station in Edgware.

A member of a local Facebook group also posted the following: “Bakery Path (near the station) shut with a big police presence this morning.”.

The station was completely closed off for several hours with a large cordon in place, a secondary cordon was further down the road at Bakery Path, just off Station Road.

British Transport Police, who are handing this incident, confirmed that a man, 28, was stabbed and subsequently taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
