Shed burglaries in South Harrow prompt community safety reminder

South Harrow residents were left concerned following two overnight burglaries on September 12.

The incidents occurred on Warwick Avenue and Walton Avenue, where an unidentified male suspect broke into sheds and made off with power tools.

In both cases, the suspect accessed the properties’ rear and forced entry into the sheds.

Local police in the South Harrow ward, represented by PCSO Lisa Saunders, has issued a reminder to the community. She encourages residents to take precautions such as installing locks and sensor lighting to deter potential intruders from targeting their property.

Met Police also provided insights into the most commonly stolen items from sheds, which include bikes, lawnmowers, sports equipment, power tools, and garden tools.

Taking preventive measures can significantly reduce the risk of such incidents.

You can find more tips on crime prevention and securing your shed or garage on the Metropolitan Police website.
