Canons Park Station closed by police due to knife and money laundering arrest

Canons Park Station in Harrow was temporarily closed by police yesterday morning (24 September) after a man was arrested.

Police closed the station due to an ‘emergency services incident’ and Jubilee Line tickets were accepted either side of the station by TfL. The station reopened at around 7:20am.

British Transport Police (BTP) have confirmed that a man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs, possession of a bladed article, and money laundering.

A spokesperson for BTP told Harrow Online: “Officers were called to Canons Park Underground station at around 6.50am yesterday (24 September) following reports of a man in possession of a blade.

“Officers attended the scene and a man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs, possession of a bladed article, and money laundering. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.”
