Firefighters battle blaze at Harrow takeaway restaurant on Pinner Road

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters rushed to Pinner Road in Harrow in the early hours of this morning after a takeaway restaurant went up in smoke.

Members of Harrow Online sent images of a number of fire engines still at the scene at around 4:00am this morning. The pavement area was also cordoned off outside the property.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters responded to a fire on Pinner Road in Harrow.

“The fire occurred in an end of terrace property, consisting of a takeaway restaurant with flats above. Part of the ground floor commercial space was damaged by the fire. There are no reports of any injuries.

“The Brigade was first notified about the fire at 0201 and the incident was under control by 0456. Crews from Harrow, Wembley, Stanmore and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
