Wealdstone woman arrested: Shoplifting incident leads to drug charges

In a recent turn of events, a Wealdstone woman arrested for shoplifting on High Street is now facing additional drug-related charges.

Police in Wealdstone, Harrow, had detained the woman on September 7 after a shoplifting alert. She was found with no stolen property but in possession of Class A substances. Subsequently, she was re-arrested yesterday (October 3) for failing to attend a mandated drug assessment.

Wealdstone MPS reported on September 7: “This morning officers conducting patrols on High Street Wealdstone were alerted to a female who may have been involved in a shoplifting. She was detained by officers and searched for stolen property. None was located however a quantity of Class A was found. #Arrested #MyLocalMet”

Continuing from the previous incident, Wealdstone MPS tweeted on October 3: “Following on from this #Arrest. The female failed to attend a mandated drug assessment and has subsequently been re-arrested today. She will be presented to court in due course.”
