Police rush to Harrow after ‘incident’ in park, man hospitalised

A man was rushed to a major trauma centre this morning after an incident in Harrow Recreation Ground.

Police and an air ambulance, which had landed in the park, hurried to the scene just before 11:00am.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today 5 October to reports of an incident at Harrow Recreation Ground.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an incident response officer, an ambulance crew, and a medic in a fast-response car. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a man at the scene for a head injury, before taking him to a major trauma centre.”

Met Police told Harrow Online: “Police were called by LAS at 10:54hrs to Harrow Recreation Ground.

“A man in his 30s was found with a head injury. He was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

“Police are working to understand how the man sustained the injury.

“The scene has now been closed.”
