Wimpy permanently closes its doors in Eastcote

In sad news for Eastcote residents, the Wimpy restaurant located on Field End Road has officially closed its doors after serving the community for decades.

A simple note on the restaurant’s door conveyed the closure: “Our Eastcote restaurant is now closed. We would like to thank all our customers for their loyal support over the years.”

The message continued, guiding customers to the nearest operating Wimpy branch at 176 High Street, Ruislip, HA4 8LJ.

The news of the closure resonated deeply with Eastcote residents and Wimpy customers, many of whom took to social media platforms to express their feelings. One person said, “I was only there last week; this is very sad news. It was a family-run business.”

Another shared: “Wimpy was one of the best places to eat; their food outshone so many others of its kind. They will be missed in Eastcote.”

Some of the comments brought back memories of other Wimpy branches in the local area, One resident said, “I used to frequent the Wimpy in Harrow Town Centre, opposite Debenhams. Great memories of that place and this Eastcote branch. Truly sad times.”

The closure of Eastcote’s Wimpy marks the end of an era, leaving behind a history of memorable moments and satisfied customers
