Harrow road closed off after hit and run, abandoned vehicle found nearby

A man was rushed to hospital in the early hours of this morning, 20th October, after a hit and run in College Road, Harrow.

The incident happened at around 12:20am with the road closed off until 07:10am this morning.

At the time of the incident, all bus routes including the 114, 182, 183, 186, 340 and others were diverted.

The driver did not stop at the scene and the vehicle was found abandoned nearby. Police are asking for anyone with info to come forward.

A spokesperson for Met Police said, “Police were called at approximately 00:20hrs on Friday, 20 October to reports of a man injured after being in collision with a car in College Road, Harrow.

“The man was taken to hospital for treatment; his condition is not life threatening.

“The car did not stop at the scene but was found abandoned nearby; enquiries are ongoing to trace any occupants.

“Road closures were put in place; these have now been lifted.”
