Harrow hospital receives award for commitment to patient safety

The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow, part of Circle Health Group, has received recognition for its exceptional patient safety standards, assessed by the National Joint Registry (NJR).

The NJR monitors joint replacement operations, ensuring accurate data collection.

Hospitals, including Clementine Churchill, must meet six rigorous targets, including data completeness and quality assessments.

The NJR aims to enhance patient safety, care quality, and cost-effectiveness in joint replacement surgeries by collecting precise orthopaedic data.

Hospitals are also expected to maintain high patient consent rates and promptly address NJR alerts related to patient safety concerns.

Executive Director Lisa Trybus said: “The safety of our patients comes first and foremost and is a key priority for all our teams here at the Clementine Churchill Hospital.

“We continue to work closely with our colleagues at the NJR to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of the patients in our care.

“We fully support the National Joint Registry’s work in facilitating improvement in clinical outcomes and governance for the benefit of all joint replacement patients and we’re delighted to be awarded as an ‘NJR Quality Data Provider’.”
