Get ready for a winter experience like no other at Wembley Park over the next few weeks as London’s newest neighborhood is set to dazzle with a free neon light maze arriving on December 2, and on display until January.
The festive season will be celebrated with live music, events, and illuminations. Visitors can enjoy special winter menus, discounted shopping, and pampering gift packages, making Wembley Park a must-see attraction this winter.
The headline event, known as ‘The Luminaze’, is a unique reflective maze art installation by Emergency Exit Arts (EEA).
This mesmerising walkthrough experience, illuminated with energy-efficient neon lighting, will be free for visitors from December 2, to January 2, 2024.
The maze, located off Olympic Way at Samovar Space, showcases bespoke scenes and motivational messages, encouraging visitors to contemplate themes of belonging and migration.
At its center, a striking four-meter-tall sculpture called The Hourglass will be on display with an interactive display titled “We Love This Place,” featuring animations and narratives that explore the concepts of place and home.
Daniel Bernstein, CEO for Emergency Exit Arts, said, “EEA are experts in using creativity and spectacle to enhance places and bring people together. We are delighted to bring the world premiere of The Luminaze to Wembley Park for people to enjoy.
“The Luminaze is our new, immersive light installation, inviting visitors to explore what they love about their place and ultimately what home means to them.”
On Saturday, December 2, Wembley Park will also kick off its festive season with the first Festive Market. Located on Market Square and Olympic Way, the market offers a diverse array of gifts, crafts, gourmet treats, and more. The market will be open for the first three weekends in December.
Live music events, featuring choirs and festive performances, will also echo through The Sound Shell against the backdrop of Wembley Stadium on select afternoons during the winter.
BOXPARK Wembley will host a range of festive events, starting with Hip Hop Karaoke on November 16. Other events include Big Fat Quizbox on November 30, Ultimate Buble: Michael Buble Tribute on December 14, and Massaoke: Xmas at BOXPARK on December 21.
The festive atmosphere will extend to illuminated trees along Wembley Park Boulevard, a magnificent nine-meter-tall Christmas tree adorned with neon decorations on Market Square, and various light installations, including a photography exhibition in Arena Square and illuminated artwork in iconic K2 red telephone boxes.
Seasonal lighting will grace the Bobby Moore Bridge underpass, and the Shadow Wall by Jason Bruges will return for visitors to dance with digital light shadows throughout December.
Christmas shoppers can find great deals at the London Designer Outlet, offering products from premium retailers at up to 70% off.
As a special treat, one lucky winner stands a chance to enjoy an ultimate day out in Wembley Park, valued at over £500. To enter, simply sign up for the mailing list at www.wembleypark.com between December 1 and December 20.
