There is currently a power cut affecting some households in the HA1 postcode area of Harrow.
UK Power Networks website states: “We became aware of a power cut at 22:11. We’re sorry for any disruption this may have caused you.
“We didn’t know in advance there would be a power cut but now that we know, our teams will do everything they can to get your power back quickly.”
The website continues, “We’re sorry for any disruption this may have caused you.
“As this was an unexpected power cut, we didn’t know it was going to happen so we were unable to give you advanced notice.
“We estimate your power will be back on:
07 Nov 02:00 – 03:00
“We may be able to get some customers on sooner.
“The timeframe may change and be extended depending on our investigations and the work involved to resolve the issue.”
A suspected fault with a piece of electrical equipment is believed to have caused the power cut.
Update: 5:24am – The latest on the power cut: “Due to now needing a relief team of engineers this morning to be able to have the cars moved and to carry on the excavations to dig down and repair the faulty underground equipment.
”It’s going to take us past our current time frame to complete this safely, so we’re now working towards between 09:30 and 10:30 to have power back on. We can appreciate how frustrating and disruptive being without power can be. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak to our team, but I’ll let you know further news as it comes in.
“This means you may not receive any texts for a while until the relief teams are available.”
Update: Power was fully restored to those affected at 1:29pm.
