Carib & Co Brunch, a local non-profit community organisation, is offering complimentary brunch and a food bank service to support Harrow residents facing financial challenges. The initiative caters to individuals on low incomes, single parents, families with dependents, people with disabilities, and those with long-term illnesses.
Carib & Co Brunch will host a monthly marketplace featuring British businesses and young entrepreneurs, coupled with entertainment such as comedy, poetry, and panel discussions on various topics including mental health, finance, and entrepreneurship.
Londoners are encouraged to visit Victoria Hall in Harrow Town Centre on Saturday, November 25th, to support local businesses, shop for Men brands like Dr Oud and Care By Jords, and enjoy a complimentary hot meal. The event will include performances by comedian Axel Blake and Slim, as well as music from Bad Anju. The show will be hosted by comedian Mr Cee and Aaron Roach Bridgeman. Every Fish Bar, based in Harrow, will provide 25 complimentary brunches.
Jade Weir-Reid, Founder of Carib & Co Brunch comments on why these types of
projects need more recognition and what can be done to spread the word: “The cost of living is impacting everyone across the world. The six months projects funded by Harrow Council, Harrow Giving and Healthy Harrow offer a warm space and a complimentary healthy hot meal for people in need. We need everyone to donate towards this project so we can continue to offer a complimentary hot brunch to people in need.
“We are extremely grateful to Victoria Hall for giving us a dedicated space to hold our monthly events at such a contemporary and warm venue. This will help to bring awareness to our non profit organisation, small businesses and creatives. We thank you for believing in us and our vision. Peace and Love to many more monthly events like this for the future!”
