Theft from cars reported in Rayners Lane

Incidents of theft from cars have been reported in the Rayners Lane area of Harrow.

Males have been observed attempting to steal from vehicles and checking door handles, particularly in Maryatt Ave and Sandringham Crescent in the Rayners Lane area during the early morning hours.

Stolen items include loose change, phone cables, sunglasses, and even disabled badges from glove boxes.

Police urge residents to secure their vehicles by locking doors, removing valuables, using alarms, parking in well-lit areas, and employing additional measures such as etching vehicle identification numbers and marking equipment with registration numbers.

PCSO Louise Nicholson, the Watch Liaison Officer in the ward, noted the importance of vigilance to prevent becoming a victim of crime.
