Vigil for Gaza held outside Harrow and Wealdstone station

Harrow residents came together for a Vigil for Gaza outside Harrow and Wealdstone station at 6-7pm yesterday evening, 29th November, on the UN’s International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People since 1977.

A spokesperson for Brent & Harrow Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) said: “While grieving for all Israeli and Palestinian children, this vigil will particularly recognise Palestinian children whose lives and deaths are often reduced to numbers in the media, while also calling for a permanent ceasefire.”

Poems read will include ‘Don’t Name the Dead Children’ by Jewish former Children’s Laureate Michael Rosen from Pinner, written in 2014.

Earlier this month, hundreds of locals protested outside the offices of Harrow MPs Gareth Thomas and Bob Blackman following, they said, their failure to vote for a ceasefire.
