Ruislip residents advised to double lock doors as burglars steal two cars

South Ruislip Dedicated Ward Officer, Constable Maz Solanki, is issuing an urgent advisory to the residents of The Fairway in Ruislip following a recent residential burglary incident.

The incident occurred between 1am and 4am on Monday, 11th December, at house numbers 231 to 235.

According to the report, two male suspects gained access to the property through the front door, leaving tool marks as evidence of their entry. The suspects targeted specific vehicles within the residence, seizing the keys to a Mercedes-Benz, a White Volkswagen Polo, and a Grey BMW 320D . Notably, the perpetrators chose to take the White VW Polo and Grey BMW, leaving the Mercedes-Benz untouched. No other items were reported missing.

Fortunately, the Grey BMW has been recovered thanks to a GPS tracker installed in the vehicle. House-to-house inquiries suggest that the suspects were in the vicinity at around 4am.

Constable Solanki urges residents to take precautions by ensuring front doors are securely locked, particularly for those with UPVC front doors, emphasising the necessity of double-locking them by lifting the handle and engaging the lock.

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity or information related to the incident via OWL or by calling 101, quoting crime reference 0929361/23. Anonymous tips can be provided to CrimeStoppers at Freephone 0800 555 111.
