Harrow residents in the HA1 3 and HA1 4 postcodes were experiencing a prolonged power cut, leaving several households without electricity for more than 10 hours.
The disruption is attributed to a faulty underground equipment in the Whitmore Road area in central Harrow. In the latest update received at 1:10 pm, UK Power Networks stated, “Our engineers have just called in to advise us that they are still working to repair the faulty underground equipment to restore all power in the Whitmore Road area. Due to the complex nature of the repair, it is proving much more intricate than we thought.”
The update continues to mention that the repair work is expected to go beyond the initially estimated time frame. The restoration of power is now anticipated between 13:30 and 14:30. UK Power Networks acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the prolonged outage and assured residents that their team is working diligently to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
