A power cut is currently affecting over 50 customers in the Harrow Weald area this evening, 30 December.
UK Power Networks are working to restore power to the HA36 postcode area which covers a large part of Harrow Weald and Stanmore.
The fault occurred on an underground electricity cable. Current estimates are that power will be fully restored by 8:30pm with some customers already back on. The power cut was first reported shortly after 4pm.
Update: 21:30 – UK Power Networks posted, “We can now confirm that all power in the area should be back on. Our engineers had to unexpectedly turn off the power to safely repair an underground cable fault in the Stafford Road area. We know that being without power can be especially difficult, so we’re sorry for the outage.
“Please rest assured our staff will continue to work around the clock to keep the lights on. If your power isn’t on or there’s anything you’d like to talk to us about, call us on 08003163105 which is free from landlines and mobiles.”
