£20,000 worth of drugs, weapons, and cash seized in South Oxhey raid

Drugs worth more than £20,000 were seized alongside weapons and cash during a warrant carried out in South Oxhey.

Police officers from the Three Rivers’ Scorpion Team forced entry to the property off Oxhey Drive at 6.50am on Wednesday 20 December, under Section 8 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.

They recovered cannabis with an estimated street value of between £20,000 and £25,000, along with weapons including zombie knives, machetes and an air rifle, plus more than £3,500 in cash and items of high-end clothing.

A 20-year-old man from South Oxhey was arrested on suspicion of possession with the intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis), possession of an offensive weapon (air rifle) and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs (cannabis). He has been released on strict conditional bail while enquiries continue.

PC Charlie Jones, who led the operation, said: “This outcome is the result of a team effort between us and officers in the Watford Scorpion Team, as well as detectives in the Three Rivers’ Local Crime Unit.
