Breaking News: Storm Henk creates havoc on Harrow roads

This afternoon, chaos ensued in Harrow as Storm Henk wreaked havoc on the streets.

A close call occurred on Camrose Avenue, Burnt Oak, where a fallen tree narrowly missed passing cars at 3:30pm on January 2nd. The road at the junction with Merlin Crescent was blocked in both directions, affecting Route 288, however it has since reopened.

Simultaneously, in Rayners Lane, traffic lights were blown off their hinges, adding to the mayhem.

Plastic sheeting was also spotted flapping around in the middle of the road.

Joel Street in Eastcote Village was also blocked in both directions at the junction of Deerings Drive due to a fallen tree. This has also since reopened.

Elsewhere Uxbridge Road, Harrow was also blocked with a fallen tree at the junction with Courtenay Avenue. The H12 and H14 buses were on diversion while the road was cleared.
