Four fire engines tackle Wealdstone blaze on New Year’s Eve

Four fire engines rushed to Wealdstone on New Year’s Eve to tackle a house fire on Grant Road.

The engines, with 25 firefighters, were called at around 3pm and swiftly rushed to the scene. Part of the property was damaged but no reports of any injuries. A video of the scene can be seen at the Harrow Online TikTok channel.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a house on Grant Road, HA3 on Sunday (31 December). Part of a loft conversion, in a mid-terraced house converted into flats, was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

“The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers received six calls about the fire.

“The Brigade was called at 1500 and the fire was under control by 1616. Crews from Harrow, Stanmore, Park Royal and Acton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
