Police appeal after suspected arson in Bushey as caravan set on fire

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a suspected arson in Bushey.

The incident occurred at around 2.08am on Friday 29 December, when it is reported that a caravan was on fire in Meadow Road.

No injuries were reported, but the front windows and some wiring were damaged.

Detective Constable Gemma Haines, from the Borehamwood Local Crime Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.

“Thankfully, the occupant of the caravan was uninjured and was able to use a neighbour’s hose to extinguish the fire before emergency services arrived.

“If you saw someone acting suspiciously in the area around this time, or were driving in the area and have a dash cam fitted, please email me. Additionally, if you have a doorbell camera, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage to assist our investigation.”

You can report information online, speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/103421/23.
