Station Road in Harrow Town Centre has been blocked off by police in both directions this evening after two people were taken to hospital following a collision near Peterborough Road.
The road was closed off at 4:45pm due to the collision. Police officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene where a man aged in his 70s, and a woman aged in her 80s were both taken to hospital with injuries.
Bus routes affected include the 182 186 223 258 483 H14 H17 H18 H19 N18 SL10 and Y18N.
Harrow Online approached Met Police who provided the following statement: “Police were called at 16:46hrs on Monday, 8 January to reports of a collision involving a car and two pedestrians in Station Road, Harrow.
“Officers attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. The two pedestrians were treated at the scene.
“A man in his 70s was taken to hospital with a leg injury and we await an update on his condition.. A woman in her 80s was taken to hospital was treated for a head injury. Her conditions is not life-threatening.
“The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.46pm today (8 January) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction between Station Road and Station Approach, Harrow.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic and a medic in a fast response car.
“Our first medics arrived on scene in around four minutes.
“We treated two patients and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
