Man dies after collision in Bushey Heath, police appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for information, witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal collision in Bushey Heath on Wednesday 10 January.

The incident happened shortly before 9am, when a blue Volkswagen Polo collided with a wall in the car park of Homecedars House in Elstree Road. No other vehicles were involved.

Officers attended the scene alongside the ambulance service, including the air ambulance. The driver, a man in his eighties, sadly died at the scene.

Speaking on Wednesday, Sergeant Timothy Davies, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this difficult time and they are being supported by specially trained officers.

“We are working to establish what happened this morning and I am asking any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.

“If you have a dash cam and were driving in the area, I would also like you to check it and get in touch if you spot anything that could help.

“Please get in touch by emailing me quoting ISR 176 of 10 January.”
