A road in Pinner was closed off for most of yesterday and last night after a gas leak.
Pinner Hill road was closed from around 1pm yesterday, 16 Jan, and reopened this morning at around 7am.
Members of Harrow Online Group on Facebook questioned why police had cordoned off the road in Pinner for most of the day. The closure affected the H13 bus route which was on diversion whilst emergency services remained at the scene.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said, “Firefighters attended a gas leak on Pinner Hill Road yesterday.
“A road closure was put in place as a precaution. Firefighters liaised with partner agencies to make the scene safe before leaving the incident in the care of the gas authority.
“The Brigade was called at 1220 and the incident was over for firefighters by 1458. A fire engine from Ruislip Fire Station attended the scene.”
