Northolt resident appeals for help to find missing pet parakeet

A Northolt resident has reported to Harrow Online the disappearance of her beloved pet bird, Winston, a blue Quaker parakeet, from her home on Fort Road.

The bird went missing on Monday evening (15 Jan) in Northolt between 2:30pm and 5pm.

Winston is not an ordinary bird; she (female despite the name) has a distinct character and is known for her interaction with humans and other birds. The owner, Tianne, who keeps the bedroom window open daily for Winston’s routine socialising sessions, suspects that the bird might have been taken due to the recent cold weather.

The parakeet has a reputation for her unique behavior, such as perching on a neighbor’s gardener’s head and mimicking magpies. Winston is also known for visiting nearby aviaries to play with other birds.

Tianne emphasises that Winston’s absence is out of character, considering her adventurous nature and the presence of a friendly flock of green parakeets in the area.

Tianne has turned to Harrow Online to spread the word, hoping that Winston’s distinct characteristics will be recognised, leading to her safe return. She describes her efforts to find Winston as a “life mission” and earnestly requests the public’s assistance in locating her pet.

Anyone with information regarding Winston’s whereabouts is encouraged to email tiannejones@hotmail.co.uk or through the contact details shared on petradar.org.
