Former Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Janet Mote, presented generous donations to her chosen charities at the Mayor’s Parlour last week.
In her role as the first Catholic Lady Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Mote handed over cheques of £9,740.07 each to Neill Duncan of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust for NWPH Rebal Unit and Charmian Boyd of Harrow Carers.
The funds provided to the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust will be directed towards enhancing the facility for future patients undergoing treatment, ultimately improving the lives of individuals within the community.
The contribution to Harrow Carers will be used to enhance the lives and overall well-being of Young Carers.
Harrow Carers posted, “Heartfelt gratitude to Cllr Janet Mote and incredible supporters for their dedication to raising funds for our Young Carers’ services! Your generosity is making a real difference. It’s been a pleasure collaborating with the Mayor’s other charity of the year, and the outstanding team at the Renal Unit, Northwick Park Hospital, led by Neill Duncan and Claire Edwards.
“Charities like ours rely on the kindness of donors to continue providing essential services. No matter whom you choose to support, please keep giving. Together, we can foster a compassionate society where everyone receives the care they deserve.”
Expressing her gratitude, Janet Mote stated, “A huge thank you to All in the Harrow Community and to All outside who have given so much to my two Charities! I am overwhelmed and the money is going to make so much difference to many lives!”
