Residents of Harrow are bracing for a wet and disruptive weekend as the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rainfall across the borough.

The alert, signalling potential disruption and requiring residents to stay vigilant, is scheduled to take effect from 3pm on Saturday, February 17, and will continue until 6pm the following day, covering the whole of Harrow as well as the wider London area.

The impending downpour is expected to have a significant impact on local infrastructure and daily activities. Public transportation services, including buses and trains, are anticipated to face delays, with journey times extending beyond the norm.

Motorists are also advised to exercise caution, as road conditions are likely to deteriorate with spray and possible flooding, further hampering travel times.

The Met Office has also warned of the potential for flooding in residential and commercial areas, suggesting that a few homes and businesses may find themselves dealing with water intrusion.

Additionally, there is a likelihood of some interruptions to power supplies and other essential services, adding to the weekend’s challenges.

Harrow residents are advised to prepare for the adverse weather conditions, staying updated on the latest forecasts and making necessary arrangements to mitigate the impact of the heavy rains.
