Harrow Power Cut: Over 100 households without power for over 12 hours

Over 100 Harrow households have been without power for over 12 hours due to a power cut in the HA5 5 and HA5 4 areas of Harrow, covering parts Rayners Lane of Pinner.

One person affected told Harrow Online, “There is a power outrage post code HA5 4 and HA55AF area since last evening and this morning 9:30an to now time 22:11 no power back yet.”

The latest update on the UK power networks website says, “We know the time frame we initially estimated is now approaching. Our engineers are continuing their work to repair our underground network in the Avenue area.

“As our staff are working with live electricity, we need to wait until it is safe for them to stop and contact us with an update. We’re sorry you’ve been impacted by this, and we’ll provide you an update as soon as possible.”

The power cut was due to be resolved by 10:30pm.

It is understood that a fault has occurred on an underground electricity cable effecting the locals area.

Update: Power was restored to all households shortly after 1am.
