Several Harrow residents noticed a police helicopter circling over Harrow Weald Recreation Ground and Long Elmes in the HA3 area yesterday afternoon. The chopper remained in the area for approximately 20 minutes.
According to a spokesperson for the National Police Air Service (NPAS), the helicopter was deployed to aid ground patrols in tracking a vehicle that had refused to stop for officers.
In a statement provided to Harrow Online, NPAS said, “At 1618hrs on Tuesday 5 March 2024, a police helicopter crew from NPAS London was tasked to the Edgware area to support ground patrols in tracking a vehicle which had failed to stop for officers. Total flight time was 21 minutes.”
