Former Harrow Iceland unit to be transformed into new banqueting hall

A new banqueting hall is poised to revitalise the local scene in Harrow Town Centre with its imminent opening at a site that a lot of our readers will be very familiar with.

Royal Bakhtar, a renowned catering and event management business, have plans to transform the old Iceland unit located at 368 Station Road, Harrow Town Centre into a state-of-the-art banqueting hall.

The strategic positioning of the new facility, just opposite the Wetherspoons pub and near to Trinity Bar, aims to cater to the diverse needs of the community.

Although the business specialises in an array of foods including Asian, Afghani, Indian, Pakistani, Bengali, and Bangladeshi cuisine, it has not been confirmed of food will be served at the venue as yet.

What is clear is that Royal Bakhtar is poised to offer a new banqueting experience for shoppers in the town centre, something different and unique in Harrow.

Although specific opening dates and details are yet to be disclosed, anticipation is high as preparations for the opening are underway.

The former Iceland unit will soon be a banqueting hall.

This is the first news we have had of the unit transforming following the closure of the Iceland store exactly one year ago. The closure, as reported by Harrow Online on 21st March 2023, stirred reactions among local residents. A spokesperson for Iceland said: “The Station Road, Harrow Store is scheduled to close on 6th May, ahead of its lease expiring.

“Across Iceland and The Food Warehouse we have a portfolio of over UK 1,000 stores and continually review the retail experience offered to our customers as local shopping patterns change and shop leases expire.”
