Houses in Wealdstone taped off after pensioner assaulted

A police cordon was spotted in Headstone Road at the junction with Walton Road in Wealdstone yesterday afternoon, 9 March.

According to an eye witness, at least four houses were taped off by police at around 4pm.

A police officer was spotted at the scene.

A spokesperson for Met Police told Harrow Online, “Police were called at approximately 10:20hrs on Saturday, 9 March to reports of a man assaulted in Headstone Drive, Harrow.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the man, aged in his 70s, was taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury – his condition was later confirmed as not life threatening.

“A 22-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH; she has been bailed pending further enquiries.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
