Four charged with alleged transphobic hate crime in Harrow

Detectives investigating an alleged transphobic assault in Harrow have charged four people with assault.

Summer Betts-Ramsey, 19, was arrested on Sunday, 11 February and charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon. She will next appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 12 March.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested on Wednesday, 28 February and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, robbery and possession of cannabis. She will also appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow.

On Thursday, 7 March, a 17-year-old boy was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, disclosing sexual images and threatening the victim with a knife in a private place.

A second 17-year-old boy was charged on Friday, 8 March with grievous bodily harm with intent. Both were remanded and will appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 5 April.

The charges relate to an assault on Masons Avenue, HA3 which left an 18-year-old girl with stab wounds. She has since been discharged from hospital.
