Major brand opens first store inside atria Watford

Hobbs, the famous British womenswear brand, has recently opened its first store at atria Watford.

The new Hobbs store is dedicated to showcasing the brand’s latest collection, characterised by its timeless style and quintessentially British flair. Catering to various occasions and lifestyles, the store presents a versatile selection of everyday wear, work attire, and special occasion outfits, including sizes ranging from 6 to 22, with options for petite sizes as well.

Spanning approximately 3,300 square feet, the store boasts a thoughtfully curated design, featuring a welcoming stone-style entrance, a harmonious color palette, and contemporary furnishings to create an inviting atmosphere for shoppers.

Located in Charter Place, a prime area within the centre, Hobbs joins a lineup of esteemed brands, such as NEXT and ZARA, which have recently expanded and enhanced their presence. NEXT introduced a sprawling 94,000 square foot store in 2022, offering a comprehensive range of home, beauty, and fashion items. Similarly, ZARA has upsized significantly with its newly opened two-story, 43,000 square foot store, doubling the size of its previous unit and showcasing an expanded collection.

atria Watford stands as a premier destination for retail and leisure, spanning an impressive 1.4 million square feet. Boasting a diverse tenant mix ranging from independent boutiques to renowned household names like Mango, Uniqlo, and Hollister, the center offers something for every shopper’s preference.

Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, comments: “Hobbs is a great addition to atria Watford and we are excited to see the new store welcome shoppers. The brand joins a string of new names at the centre and its offer aligns exactly with what we want to give our visitors – quality, choice and excellent in-store experiences.

“We are also delighted that Charter Place has reached the significant milestone of being fully let – following completion of the extension in 2019. The development has attracted a strong line-up of brands – including NEXT and ZARA – and has provided a real boost to centre footfall and spend.”
