How you can learn to repair your old clothes and bikes in Harrow

If you’re a Harrow resident that has clothes that can be repaired, or a bike in need of a bit of TLC, then head over and book your place at Harrow Council’s repair cafe.

This free event is being held by TRAID, a charity organisation that collects and sorts second-hand clothes for resale in their London charity shops. They advocate for a more ethical fashion industry.

The Harrow event will be held next weekend on Saturday April 6 at Victoria Hall in the town centre.

You can bring one or two items of clothing that need mending, and experts from TRAID will show you how to repair them. You’ll also find examples of fixed clothes and materials for practice.

The event also includes a Bike Hub for cyclists. If your bike needs a check-up, you can get a free 15-minute consultation from the London Bike Hub team. They’ll assess your bike and advise on repairs. Make sure to book your bike consultation too.

No prior skills are needed for any of the workshops, and all materials will be provided.

You can also recycling your old clothes via TRAID. Book a free collection.
