Flats evacuated in Harrow as firefighters tackle blaze

A fire at Eastman Village resulted in flats being evacuated on Sunday evening, March 31st.

Images and footage sent in to Harrow Online shows residents being led to safety by London Fire Brigade as they tackled the blase at around 9pm on Easter Sunday.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said, “Firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a flat on Rokeby Road in Harrow.

“Part of a five roomed flat on the fifth floor was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

“The Brigade was called at 2050 and the incident was over for firefighters at 2116. Firefighters from Stanmore, Northolt and Wembley fire stations attended the scene.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
